I can’t emphasize enough how smoky it was up in the high Sierras due to all the fires. The first picture in this batch should do a good job. It was also very hot – upper 90s during the day. Not exactly ideal hiking weather. So instead I just took a leasurely drive along one of my favorite roads in America, the Sonora Pass. I also stumbled upon Mark Twain’s cabin. Who even knew he had a cabin out here?
